My name is Georgia Baddeley. I’m an Australian artist working predominantly in watercolour, gouache, ink and graphite. The techniques I use include Plein Air painting, realism, line art and graphite blending.
In my artwork, I explore the beauty of the natural world; evoking serenity, peace, depth and gently floating movement.
If visual art serves a purpose, I believe it is to provide a beautiful place for the viewer to journey in. The picture must be believable enough, but the fantasy is the real attraction. The best artwork allows us an escape - to enter a story about a better world.

Throughout 2020 I have utterly dedicated myself to improving my artistic skill and knowledge. This has been my personal and professional response to the extended period of unemployment and isolation due to the COVID-19 health emergency.
Self-directed learning is so important to my practice and philosophy, as it is accessible and intrinsically motivating. I've achieved a lot of progress through seeking educational material which has been published or endorsed by subject matter experts or reputable institutions.
